West Highlands and the Isle of Skye

I went for a day trip of the west highlands castles and lochs and thoroughly enjoyed it despite the winter weather. We had an honest, friendly, and funny guide named Mav who was very informative about the natural landscapes, and deep history of the places on this trip. The main highlights of the trip was getting special access to Kilchurn castle and dining in a local pub in inverary.
I also went for a 3-day trip to the Isle of Skye which was absolutely amazing with stunning, unbelievable natural landscapes, intriguing history, friendly people, and lots of good places to grave a bite and drink your fill. The wickedly funny, friendly, and ever steadfast George, otherwise known as the best Rabbies' driver, our guide, led us to secret sights and dramatic places. The highlights of the trip included watching a folk band Skerryvore rock out in Portree at Skye, the geological mystery of Fairyglen, Eilan Donan Castle, Glen Cove, and Neist Point. Despite the t and wild weather, it was a fantastic trip especially with George's wicked humour and anecdotes and unwavering effort to make us all enjoy ourselves
Both experiences will be unforgettable and have strongly persuaded me to go back to Scotland to explore it more thoroughly and hopefully stay longer next time, and also doing longer tour with Rabbies in the future. |
