Highland or Lake District
Posted by Debora Green on 10/08/2010
My son (16) and I are planning on coming on one of the tours at the end of September/beginning of October. We aren't sure which tour to take. This is our first time to the UK; we enjoy walking and the outdoors. I'm a bit wary as my son has suffered from motion sickness in the past. Any suggestions?

The Highlands offer dramatic landscapes with imposing mountains and stunning Lochs whereas the Lake district offers scenery with rolling hills, mountains and lakes. Both are stunning in their own right, and both are well worth a visit.
We have availability in September/October on the 3-Day Isle of Skye tour which would give you a great overview of the Highlands, and also on the 3-Day Lake District tour.
Perhaps you could consider the "Isle of Skye, Edinburgh, Hadrian's Wall and the Lake District 7 Day tour", which covers both areas and allows a 'free day' in Edinburgh to explore the sights. You can find the details of this tour here:
