2-day tour in April from Edinburgh to Inverness

On the 7th of April my husband and I went on the 2 day tour to Inverness. We had a fantastic time on the "wee" buss with two excellent tour guides; Al and Heather. We learnt that Scotland is way more than "an abundance of stones and water" and Al told us about and showed us old battlefields, in addition to giving us an introduction to the folklore and history of Scotland. We also got an introduction to its music and culture, visited a whisky distillery, saw many picturesque villages, went for a beautiful walk at Falls of Bruar, saw The Highland Folk Museum, took a boat trip on Loch Ness and scared up Nessie if we are to belive the latest news from The Independent http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/this-britain/loch-ness-monster-found-on-apple-maps-9271075.html , visited Urquhart Castle, Inverlochy Castle and even Stirling castle. We even got to see a "Highland Ku" who was, according to our guide Al, bred to blend in with the locals; ginger and hairy ;) We saw and experienced as much as we could in those two days and we LOVED it. It was a fantastic journey on so many levels and we will be back for more. Thank you to Rabbie's and Al and Heather! |
