catching isle of Skye 3 day tour from Waverley Edinburgh

Hi - I am hoping to join the Isle of Sky 3-day tour from Edinburgh in May. I will be arriving on the Caledonian Sleeper from London, scheduled to arrive at Waverley at 5.50am. Noting that the tour starts at 8.30, we need to be at Waterloo Place by 8.15 at the latest.
Based on your experience, is there a risk that I won't be able to join the tour? Is the Caledonian Sleeper often late? Is Waterloo Place close to the Waverley station?

Hi Irene. First the good news - Waverley train station to Waterloo Place is only a 5 minute walk. The bad news is that the Caledonian Sleeper can be late - I have heard of delays of up to 2 hours. however I think the delays are more often on the trains heading further north to Fort William and Inverness. So I think you will probably be fine but obviously can't guarantee that and you woudl be taking a little bit of a risk.
